3. Why we use it
3.1 To sell and deliver your ticket, inclusions and certificate.

3.3 To credit the affiliate or partner who referred you, so they can be paid their commission.
3.4 To improve our website and measure our advertising.
3.5 To send marketing about future events and services, if you have agreed (section 6).
3.6 To meet legal obligations, such as tax and consumer law.
4. Who we share it with
4.1 Service providers who help us run the Event: Stripe, our email or CRM provider, payment processors, and the venue (an attendee list for entry and safety).
4.2 Affiliates and partners: only that a sale was made through their link, its ticket type and its value. We do not give them your contact details.
4.3 Sponsors and exhibitors: only if you choose to share your details with them, for example by having your badge scanned at their stall.
4.4 Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States, such as Meta and Google. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it in line with the APPs.
6. Marketing
We send marketing emails or SMS only with your consent, in line with the Spam Act 2003. Every message identifies us and includes an unsubscribe option, which we action within 5 business days. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential messages about a ticket you have bought.
7. Cookies, pixels and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. They help us understand visits and measure ads, including which ad or affiliate link brought you to the site. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out through Google's and Meta's ad settings.
8. Security and retention
We store personal information with reputable providers and limit access to people who need it. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.
9. Access and correction
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing editor@globalmediablitz.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, email editor@globalmediablitz.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes
We will post any update to this policy on this page, with its effective date.
